A global network of redemptive entrepreneurs and business leaders committed to growing in business, faith, family, and community.
BOLD stands for Business Opportunity Leadership Development. The four words describe what we actually do: open business opportunity, develop leadership, and do both inside a community rather than alone.
We are registered in the United States as Bold Creators Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and in Uganda as Bold - Business Opportunity Leadership Development Creators.
Empowering redemptive entrepreneurs through cross-cultural collaboration to build businesses that impact communities.
A global community of entrepreneurs building businesses that create lasting impact and transform communities.
To equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge, opportunities, networks and support they need to build thriving businesses that create lasting impact.
Doing what is right, even when no one is watching.
Pursuing quality and diligence in every business and relationship.
Trusting God as the foundation for business and life.
Believing impact multiplies when entrepreneurs work together.
The story of Bold Creators is a testament to how God weaves individual journeys together to create community transformation. The movement's origins trace back to two distinct paths, one in Kampala, Uganda, and the other in Arkansas.
Mark Mbayo grew up in Gaba, a small fishing village on the outskirts of Kampala. His education, from kindergarten through medical school, was made possible by the child sponsorship program of Africa Renewal Ministries. Mark went on to build a successful career in the medical field, serving at Wentz Medical Center and Rural Health Clinics, eventually rising to the position of assistant to the medical director. Despite his professional success, Mark felt a profound calling to resign from his medical career. Stepping out in faith, he poured his energy into serving as a volunteer leader within the Gaba Community Church Men's Ministry, driven by a passion to help young men navigate life and business.
Meanwhile, in the United States, Ben Clark had spent over twenty years bootstrapping his own company, B Unlimited, an apparel business based in Arkansas. Having navigated severe learning disabilities and the grueling challenges of building a business without traditional bank capital, Ben intimately understood the struggles of the underdog. Ben and his wife, Christine, attended Good News Church in Florida under the leadership of Ps Brad Goode. Through their church, the Clarks sponsored several children in Uganda via Africa Renewal Ministries.
The turning point came in 2023 when Ps Brad Goode invited Ben to join a mission trip to Bethany Village, an orphanage and children's home owned by Africa Renewal Ministries. Recognizing that traditional financial sponsorship alone could not solve systemic economic challenges, Ben looked for ways to empower the community sustainably. He shared with William Kiwewa, an ARM coordinator, that his primary life experience was growing a business.
Seeing an opportunity, William reached out to the Gaba Community Church Men's Ministry, led by Ps Sahr Jarvouhey, to arrange a gathering. Mark Mbayo took the lead in organizing the event. On Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Sir Jose Hotel in Kampala, the GCC Men's Ministry and Africa Renewal Ministries jointly hosted a Men in Business Breakfast, officially hosted by ARM founder Ps Peter Kasirivu.
Before Ben spoke, Mark gave him crucial advice: skip the polished corporate theories and share the raw, honest struggles of building a business. Ben took the stage and shared his personal hardships with over 70 local men. The message resonated deeply, particularly with young founders like Disan Minge, a local tailoring entrepreneur who shared Ben's grassroots drive.
Realizing that a single breakfast could not satisfy the massive need for mentorship in a country where 70 percent of the population is under 30, Mark and Ben took action. On February 14, 2024, Bold Creators was officially incorporated in the State of Arkansas as a non-profit corporation, and subsequently received its EIN from the IRS. The following year, on November 5, 2025, the organization was formally registered in Uganda.
To launch their vision, they used a curriculum from WorkMatters to run their first 10-week cohort from April 23 to June 25, 2024. The program paired American business leaders with Ugandan entrepreneurs for weekly Zoom sessions, culminating in an in-person immersion retreat in Kampala from August 1 to 3, 2024.
Today, Bold Creators stands as a thriving bilateral network, equipping redemptive entrepreneurs to build profitable businesses that create jobs, support local ministries, and transform their communities.

We openly disclose that Ben, Christine, Cooper, Coleman, and Cameron Clark are members of the same family, with their shared commitment to building a global community of redemptive entrepreneurs whose businesses transform lives, communities, and nations across both the United States and Africa.
Uganda holds extraordinary entrepreneurial promise, yet mentorship from people who have actually built and scaled businesses remains limited. Bold Creators exists to close that gap with mission-driven mentorship and relationships that compound across generations.
